BRAZIL - BETH CARVALHO TALKS ABOUT GUNS N ROSES
![]() |
Beth
Carvalho, who just launched her 20th CD entitled "Pagode de Mesa",
criticized, during a chat show, the band Guns n’ Roses, one of the attractions
at Rock in Rio. According to her, the band discriminates against black people in
one of their songs. “It’s unbelievable that in a country like Brazil, so
multiethnic, this band is treated like royalty: 46 rooms and more than 500
towels”, she declared.
Accompanied by the “Quinteto em Branco e Preto” (Quintet in White and Black), also featured on her new CD, the singer says she supports MP3 and music pirating as a form of protest against record companies.
What MYGNR.COM
thinks:
Beth Carvalho is desperately trying to get attention to sell her new album. The
song she is refering to is the song
"One in a million" was released 15 years
ago back in 1988. Beth, it's taken you 15 years to figure the lyrics out?
The song has since been taken off the album called lies. GNR has made excuses in
the past for some lyrics in the song. It's been clear now for years that GNR are
not racist at all.
According to Beth Carvalho's she doesn't mind if people use music pirating as a
form to protest against her.
